I’m on a journey to somehow put into words what it is like to live with Ankylosing Spondylitis in hopes these words reach someone magnificently motivated, gifted, and lucky enough to find a cure. Until then, I’m spouting courage so others can read it, feel it, share it, teach it, and feel less vulnerable, alone, and ignorant about this hellish disease. One day, perhaps Ankylosing Spondylitis will become a household name like cancer and HIV/AIDS.
I write about other things too – politics, race, mental illness, religion, sexism, family, sexuality, art, love, life and death.
I write because of the silly notion that there is something about my life worth sharing, something that could make a difference. If I ever stop feeling that then I’ll stop writing.

Yay! 🙂 Writing is healing for the soul! Love your post about being Episcopalian. Those are many of the reasons I love the church, too! Stay awesome!
